The Pentacle Club is one of the world's
oldest magic societies. As you will see from
the brief history included in these pages,
the Club was founded in 1919 and is still
going strong ninety years later.
The Club meets on alternate Tuesdays around
twenty two times a year, with a break during
August and over the Christmas period.
We meet at St Laurence's School, Arbury Rd,
Cambridge CB4 2JX.

We have a wide range of activities at our
meetings including visiting lecturers,
(Wayne Dobson, Geoffrey Durham, Alan Shaxon,
Sean Carpenter, Anthony Owen, John B. Born
and David Wood have all been recent
visitors); visits from, and to, dealers,
(including Practical Magic, Aquarius, Hocus
Pocus and Magic Books by Post); as well as
teach-ins, show and general Club evenings.
In addition, we have both a close-up and
stage/cabaret competition each year and an
annual dinner, which is usually held in May.
We also have a library of both books and
videos covering most aspects of traditional
and modern magic, which are available for
members to borrow.
If you would like more information about The
Pentacle Club, or would like to join please
